Cherry Candy
I think she liked me because I was sweet
And her folks had never let her trick or treat,
On Easter she’d throw away her chocolate eggs,
Her Reeses and her Smarties,
I think she thought I was stronger
Then the whiskey she’d drink at parties,
“You taste like cherry candy” She'd say
And kiss me even harder,
I think I made her tongue red
Cause’ she hung on a little longer,
I gave her a stomach ache,
Made her dizzy from my sweets,
Even when I was sour
Or made her cringe from my heat,
she loved me because I was sweet
And her folks had never let her trick or treat
This poem is about:
Me
