scholarship

Here is the scholarship    built    from the breaking of my bones and the tearing of my mental flesh

resurrected from the dead dreams buried in the liberal arts category

You cannot deny me my entry here before my death, to leave me as part of

The workforce you shun scribbling furiously and hurriedly before the day

Of eviction, judgement day is delayed and my bible lessons mean nothing now

To die in this concrete jungle cornered with meat saws to tear through

The creative means breathing

YOU WANT ME TO DIE LIKE THIS

TO DIE LIKE      THIS

Your silver plated windows keep dirt out of the crevices, watching the haul of

The average body like trash day with flying cans

Flying to your typewriter with the last stroke of the keys and a final

Breath for no one to care, and to realize the counter production you bled

Into the veins of those adjoining you, circling an entrapment and

Fencing your way into a freedom of isolation

You have come unto us like nothing human

Believed to be above us however no more worthy than the mucus

Of our sick and unenlightened children

So      here is my scholarship
