Decisions
I am hiking a trail
With too many bumps.
I've tripped many times,
Though the path is not steep.
Now, there is a fork
In this worn path.
Should I go left, or right?
Either way, I don't know what I'll meet.
I'll go right this time,
It doesn't look like
There's many holes. However,
The beginning may just be deceit.
There are not any holes,
Though I've entered a valley.
A beautiful valley,
But it is much too deep.
I make it through the valley,
Only to come face-to-face
With a huge mountain.
Climb, rest, repeat. Climb, rest, repeat.
Soon this trail will be over,
The hike will be finished.
I can rest forever, and
My decisions in my heart I'll keep.
