Ten Years From Now

Ten years from now you are going to be fine
You will find happiness and your sadness will fade
Every scar you have, physical and mental will disappear with time
and though these moments are painful, you won’t want to trade

Ten years from now you’ll live in a beautiful house, with your loving family
And all those nights spent awake worried about the future
Will be a distant memory you will laugh at how you were being so silly
You will feel at peace; you will feel safe and secure

Right now, you are seventeen, almost grown up but not a grown up yet
Ten years from now, you will be twenty-seven, but you still have a while to go
You still have time to learn from mistakes, your future is not yet set
You still have many years to live, many trials to undergo

Ten years from is a long time away, and you can’t think about them
So, for right now, just live in the moment and though now you are sad
Think about all the life you’ve just begun, and not the one you’ve yet to live in
Your life is waiting to be live, you’ll be fine, just take the good with the bad
