Sometimes I want to feel sad

I rather enjoy the feeling of bad

But then some sense gets knocked into me

And I know that it’s Jesus I need

He picks me up when I feel down

My God on high who wears the crown

I remember Him in all His glory

And how He loves me and my story

He’s the one who named me Joy

For this purpose, I must employ

Not only the feeling of happiness

But the realization that I’m blessed

Yes, Jesus is the King

Jesus is my everything

When I feel sad

Or bad

He gives me a good talking to

And He wants me to say

That He loves YOU!
