when i'm in a room full of people,

or things that might keep me up at night

when i'm lying in bed long past twelve.

trite things

silly things

things that remind me of simple smiles

when i'm carrying the weight of the world,

or things that crack me up in laughter

when i'm enjoying my time with friends.

 

nonsensical things.

 

afterall, the world becomes a much

brighter place when nonsensical things

are there to bring joy in the form of 

laughter, giggles, smiles, and late-night thoughts
