Who Am I? A Chicago Girl's Declaration

My name is Elandra Rene

From the distant planet of Chicago

Right here on Southside

Don’t call my home, “Chiraq”…

“Chi-Town”, “Chi-City”, or “The Windy City” will do just fine.

Back to me though, 18 with no baby or drama

I doing pretty good for myself

I aspire for greatness

I want that Academy Award for “Best Animation”

I want to see my family & friends to smile in pride for me

I want my dearly departed loved ones to keep watching and steering me out of the devil’s play.

Random Thought: I am a nice girl

I like walks with long talks

Ice Cream? Butter Pecan, my favorite

I’m loyal and I will always have your back

I could be your last phone call when you need me

I’ll always be there.

My heart lies here in this city

My heart lies with the joy of having a loving family and a great group of friends

My heart will lie in my potential suitor

Who Am I?

My name is Elandra Rene

From the distant planet of Chicago

Right here on Southside

I am one weird, quirky, & funny girl

But the point is I’m uniquely me

So don’t try to categorize me
