Black girl black girl come to play
the sun is out, isnt it a nice day?
Black girl black girl you are very smart
isnt it amazing how God makes art.
Black girl black girl why are you afraid?
Black girl black girl come to play
the sun is out, isnt it a nice day?
Black girl black girl you are very smart
isnt it amazing how God makes art.
Black girl black girl why are you afraid?
I don't thiink this one needs a title
I'm black and beautiful
You don't have to remind me
My brown skin and long nappy hair
Makes your man go crazy boo
But I don't seem to care
I'm just a girl in the petals my beauty falls deep, more than the firm curves of my body, but inside of me.
I'm just a girl in the petals with a heart of pure gold, but in all reality gold is malleable it cannot fold.
My name is Elandra Rene
From the distant planet of Chicago
Right here on Southside
Don’t call my home, “Chiraq”…
“Chi-Town”, “Chi-City”, or “The Windy City” will do just fine.
She sits in the room, with nothing to say,
The kids make fun of her features and hair
And she wonders, why they treat her this way?
When ‘all men are equal’.. And it’s not fair
I am NOT angry, loud or insecure
My body is not the only thing I can bring to the table.
I do not depend on the government to support me financially
My father was active in my life
Wake up.
Fix my hair put on this make up.
I get to class... I gotta shake up the mix.
Im the mix im the black girl in the room
I make em make room for my curves
I never take less than what i desirve.
Can I Get A Story
I am Black and American
Yet I am labeled as white
And not because I bite
I am beautiful.
I walk with my head up.
No looking to the left or the right of me.
Nobody could bring me down
I am my own person.
I am courageous.
