Fly me to the moon,
Lay me down under the stars.
I'll look up and search the galaxies,
To find out who we are.

Blast me off in your red rocket-ship,
Way up into space.
I'll drift among the heavenly hosts,
And try to find our fate.

"Who are we?" I'll ask, "What are we doing?"
I haven't any clue.
All I know for certain,
Is I'm not me without you.

You're my best friend, you're my partner.
Without you, I'm alone.
Like a wolf without a pack,
Or a dog without a bone.

As I lay back on the moon,
And look up at the sky,
I'll wonder why you love me,
Why don't you say goodbye?

You say I am your shooting star,
Your one in a million chance.
You tell me that I'm beautiful,
And ask, "May I have this dance?"

We'll glide right past the comets,
Over the moon and through the stars.
My eyes will look right into yours,
And you'll tell me who we are.

We are lovers, we are fighters,
Standing up for what is right.
Even in our darkest hours,
And late into the night.

Every day I'll strive to be
The best that I can.
Now my darling, will you please,
Take me down to Earths dry land?

Now that we're back, I'm reassured,
I'll never be alone.
Your eyes are my sweet salvation,
And your arms, my happy home.
