Rising Tide

Across the ocean I've cried.

I've heard my name called by the night.

Even as I've hid my eyes

The waves seem to know my plight

They'd gladly rock me to sleep.

They'd gladly watch me sink.

They'll sing their tormented song.

While all I wished, was for them to be gone

But a rising tide I am!

I've weathered my storms

Though my bow may dip

and though my heart once tripped

I know I sail above the waves

No matter how hard they've tugged and pulled.

I am a rising tide.

and my ship will never fall.
