Knowing Me, Knowing You
Everyday, every minute I hide behind the curtain.
I mask my eyes with glasses
to hide the emotions.
I paint the mask on my face
to cover the spots.
I put on clothes to hide my body
and wear a hat to shy behind,
but most of all,
I hide the true me the actions I do.
You see me as strong,
but I have my weaknesses.
You see my intelligence,
but there is so much I still don't know.
You see me as prepared, organized, and knowing of what I want,
but I am none of those,
I am just as lost as you.
And my fear of knowing you
will keep you from knowing me.
