Stuck
Location
I work hard
Everyday.
Scrubbing the sticky floors,
Taking out the rotten smelling garbage,
Wiping off the food crusted onto the dirty dishes.
I want more for myself.
To go from trailer to mansion,
Ramen Noodles to filet mignon,
Rusty bicycle to sparkling new mustang.
To see a white picket fence out my window,
The kids playing in the yard,
The smell of a delicious homemade meal
Fillng up my glorious home
I imagine these things,
I dream
I hope
I work hard.
But deep down I know
No matter how hard I scrub the floors,
Or how much trash I take out,
I'll always be stuck here.
Making minimum wage
With no way out.
Waiting
Crying
Fighting
With others just like me.
Stuck.
