If I could change one thing

it would be the way people see themselves.

Short

Fat

Skinny

Tall

That's all anyone ever sees.

But you know what's also there?

How their eyes light up

when they talk about something they love.

How they hum melodically to themselves

when they think no one can hear.

How their faces change

when caught in mid day-dream.

These are the beautfiful things.

If we could step out of our skins

and look at each other with a different point of view,

I think we'd all value ourselves just a little bit more.

We wouldn't care about 

the freckles

the dimples

the hairs out of place

I think we could all find that ever sought-after peace.

If I could change one thing,
