Looking at my reflection I can see
Much more than you can while looking at me
You just see happiness laughter and glee
You see pure sunshine but none of the rain
I want to ride this wave
All the way to shore –
Back to the ocean of our youth,
Back to the wild crests
And the tempests we navigated
I locate my mask and I begin to play
I act out the part given to me,
But it’s I alone who takes the stage
The theatre is large, it carries the world.
“You’re not in this alone. Let me break this awkward silence…”
