End of world

You wouldn’t want to know,
What happened that night.
The fires had come and gone,
Burning all the forests down.
Landslides in the hills and mountains,
A tsunami that had come from the ocean.
Content is a disease that kills
human ambition.
It keeps the questioning man,
question less.
It keeps the curious man,
curious less.
The stars look down and they smile.
We lay in the grass looking up.
Hand in hand we are alone,
insignificant dots in the scheme of things.
Together, we will watch the world end.
