You are a florescent bulb
And the world is a room
It is not a dark room
But it is dark to you
You must find a socket
Discover the grooves
And take the twisting the world has done to you
She understands what they think they see
But that isn't her
She shines her own light
She wasnt born to be a shadow of a single soul
No darkness in sight
Like the sun she still shines through it all
The darkness that surrounds me
Is no comparison
To the light that I see
To the light that you are
The sky looks so bleak
And dark and cold
Except for one lone star
That shines ever so bright
My shining star
That guides me
