Because I love you
I will catch you when you fall
I will sweep you off your feet
I will protect you through it all
Would you do the same for me?
She holds my hand when I feel defeat
So long ago
In the snow
The row of faces
The cheerful row
The stamping horses
My calvary
Brought the forces
To foe's fallacy
With judgement's reign
Our arrows aflame
An edged exterior envelopes
a fiery burning soul.
Flaming compassion burns through,
masked by lidded eyes.
The scent of metal and cologne
hugs,
clings,
burns through,
The Few.
This way of life is not for everyone;
Most think we're crazy, which might be true.
There's no black, white, or brown, just green.
Serving my Country with pride,
Along side my Corps family.
Come home to cuddle me.
Let me drag my fingertips upon your chest
And lay my kisses on your hips.
Touch you lightly when the day is too heavy
And play a little rough when the goin' gets tough.
In a crowd you are bound to spot him
He is standing so very tall
Not too much impresses him
He has seen and done it all.
His hair is short, eyes are sharp, and not a smile is seen
The chairs are filled
Row by row
In perfect allignment
To watch the ones down the aisle
Look up to the sky
The clouds rippled thick
The crows cry
The wind is nothing more but the wind
Sultry black velvet skyBedazzled by the winking of starsAs soft and mesmerizing as the memory of your hands on my skin
The war is the worst place to be,
You see things you wish you never seen.
Soldiers are dying everyday,
Because they say it's the American way.
Bombs are bombing everywhere,
Lights are flashing in the air.
The Hike:
The sun is shining, but your sight is bleak.
Stepping over stiff’s, as if they are a pieces of dog crap on the side of the shallow creek.
