They say life is a gift,
That love bridges the rifts,
They say 'follow your dreams',
They ask you to come clean.
But what if life is greedy and shallow,
Driven by heads and hearts that are hollow,

Her brazen torch a beacon for the free,
For in her stance, she breaches the hull,

America now
Sees mental illness
As something taboo to talk about
Outside of a hospital,
As something to suppress so long as I get that ‘A’,
As something not legitimate next to a broken leg,
Discrimination against our fathers and brothers that come from other nations, just to build this better nation
Get called rapist, drug addicts and criminals
My whole life I've spent marching,
Steadily trodding towards the finish line,
As I go, I see those around me fall
But I also see some had gotten a head start.
America! Amercia!
Land of the free
Home of the brave and equality
Oh how I want to believe.
America! Amercia!
Home of the brave!

As the morning has appeared
The air is clear, the sky so clean
My lungs breath in, a sense of victory
My pockets full of little things
Like paper bills, in shades of green
A family has gathered 'round

what is the American dream?
is it when Columbus discover America in 1492?
