Instagram, Facebook, That is all it took, Took to lead these teens Out into the streets To live what they'd seen On some little screen.
Selfies have become a form of art,
Me and Instagram we go back and forth like a pendulum
Every picture of me that I personally take does have some editing of my face.
Quick take a picture What can we see? An everlasting flawess flitered picture of me Hair done Skin soft Eyebrows on fleek Eyes tipped Black dip, winged tip on me
I reach for my phone and point it towards the sky as to reach the heavens. I quickly turn my phone over as a pancake to the front screen before the moment is gone.Snap!
what do you see through the looking glass? when you look past  all the films and clicks? do you see someone  who isnt as happy as they seem? do you see someone  who doesnt feel pretty enough?
I like the pretty extensions on my braids, just a dozen of them. They sorta whistle as they swing all over the place. No pictures please. You can keep the selfies.
I think it sucks that we only have mirrors and pictures and selfies to see who we are. To see the light manifest itself in a way that shapes the reflection of our bodies and our scars and the things that scare us.
