Clock strikes twelve
Gorgeous prince dwells
Fair maiden is locked in cell
Lovers meet and step-mom lets out a yell
Someone rings the bells
You ignored me for
Twelve straight hours
And waited until one
Minute
After midnight
To tell me you owed me an apology.
I forgave you , of course;
You knew I would.
In the daylight, she puts her makeup on
She walks out into the world with a smile on her face
She wants everybody to believe that she’s okay
She wants the world to think the best
