Pennies - for MLK
I am a privileged white woman
My wishes dreams efforts
Standing up against racism
Shouting their names
Martin didn't "die" for us.
You see, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated.
Unfortunately this heroic man was so hated.
Why?
Because he wanted equal rights?
What if Dr. King and others didn't fight?
We all are human, we all are born free
It only takes one to be the voice for thee
MLK rose high to be
One For All, to let the world see
The injustice and pain an action can be
And now, at least, we
