I was introduced to poetry
at a young age,
by reading children books written by,
Sharon Creech, Robert Frost,
and other writers in my day.
I was quite inspired,
by their choice of words,
I Say, Can you see
In the morning's first light,
The footprints of soldiers
Heading off for the fight.
They fought for our freedom
And now we are free
Others leave us alone,
They let us be.
Joy is a feeling, a freeness of mind,
where the euphoria of your brain runs wild all the time.
Its a feeling of relief from the pain of the world,
from hearings of murder, extortion..it just makes me hurl.
Spread like thick mist of perpetual darkness,
The harbinger, the evil, the snake, mischievous. Slithers.
Spreads the black cloud of human error across the deep souls of mortal man.
