Snip, snip. Hair falls to the ground. Tsssss. Another of my curls flattened. I finally lock eyes with my mirror-self. Is this worth it? I look down at my lap.
I want to be more than what can be seen When the double sides face me And all that falls upon my eyes is my own image At least what the glass shows Some see me as one thing
I was looking for my worth Searching fervently In eyes that stared back In those that looked away In dusty mirrors On every reflecting surface I looked everywhere Beyond my eyes and own skin
