Why
do I proceed
to drag my long
limbs out of bed each
morning? Why do I incessantly
open my window in hopes of the childlike
Sometimes, when life feels hopeless
Or
My day ahead seems
Rough
And,
I don’t want to get up
I remember
Grey and cold...a chill upon the early morning air.
An orange hue, pink warmth spilling across the grey ground,
Rising like a mist to color the sleepy sky.
Within a tiny hovel sleeps,
School has something to teach me each day,Though it bores me to death just as much,Yet there's someone I study in every which way,And learn from each word and each touch, Math isn't tough and the numbers are easy,Yet there's way too much thinking
Hello sun and morning breeze
Good morning puppy kisses and soft pillow sleeves.
The day may be long and dark nights longer
But for the love of life I will keep moving onward.
