when i was six years old,
i dropped my mother's porcelain
on the kitchen floor
and i'll never understand
if it was on purpose.
reprimanded for the scattered pieces,
i explained to her
In the clouds to escape reality
Constantly running from the monsters inside of me
where do i go if i have no place to run
where do i go to find the light thats far behind the sun
A mermaid from sea
Left fish for coffee and tea,
Starbucks and selfies.
What does poetry mean to me?
It means being able to express my self freely.
I am a poet
Because I wrote it.
It wasn't a choice.
It was just my inner voice.
Let the words flow free from within.
