sleepover
Learn more about other poetry terms
the fun of nights
the enjoy of knights
turn on your mower
when its closer
the lame party
the game pantry
some snacks for me
some grapes for she and he
the agers of mid night
Autumn air cools a townhouse
on one mediocre Friday evening.
Christmas lights have been -s-t-r-u-n-g- around the
ceiling's perimeter,
giving the atmosphere an orange glow.
Three friends talk
laugh
The wine I drank
felt like it was spilling down the walls.
I vomited harshly into my friend's toilet,
reminding myself why I hate being in this position.
My head pounds, my eyelids heavy.
Let me tell you where I'm at
Here at night supposedly alone,
Listening to songs that make me feel whole.
However there is Disappointment,
Self hate and his sister Anxiety,
All of them sleeping over.
