Because I'm a immigrant i cant do things i wish i can do
Because I'm a immigrant i desire many things that these citizens have

My name is Megan, which means pearl
But, it fails to define who I am, as a girl
My last name, my family name, I was from birth assigned
But who I am inside, by this is not defined
So I have dark and curly hair
Words flow from my pencil,
Thoughts turn into words.
Feelings that have been kept inside,
At last come out.
I've kept it all in for so long now,
The words flow like a stream.
I know this God exists.
I know that growing up is neither easy nor painless:
Searching for ourselves,
Finding our true friends,
Learning, hurting, dealing, hating, loving, finding
And letting go.
