I am a girl transitioning into womanhood.
Still making mistakes ,
but learning from them.
I cry during sad movies,
and during happy ones too.
I care too much,
for those who care to little.
It starts off with a tremble in my fingertips.
The tremors crawl up my arms
To my shoulders and down
Where they snake around my rib cage
Until they take hold of my heart.
They dig their claws deep
I have no true Identity
Ever changing, evolving like time
A facet of eternity
Chosen by the Great I am
I am the hippie lost in a generation of nonbelievers
Deceivers
Truth Seekers
I am who I am,
Not what you want me to be.
God created me and shaped me into who you see.
I am not like anyone else
because of my individuality.
God created me with my own personality.
She was born a poet and didn't know it,A girl with a story insides her soul a girl who takes thought and put it on paper, adding some dips and rifts and curves, sprinkling some of her heart into this poetic pot, mixing in metaphors and some simile
The first time you run a race
Life’s problems you’ll escape
In top physical shape you should be
Or back of the pack you’ll see
Give your all to be the best
I am not trapped anymore
I am not afraid
I am free
I am free to be me
I am free to feel all of my feelings
I am not to be used and not valued
I am valuable
I am worth my time
I am unique and yet still the same.
i am the outsider that is over looked.
i am the hero that goes unrecognized.
i am the kryptonite to my villians weaknesses
and the pain in my enemies hearts.
I am coal, gritty and black, put under thousands of pounds of pressure-
a mind that decidedthat happiness would be too easy,
a parent that decidedloving me was too hard,
It was not as dreamed,
How bright the morning seemed,
Where the first sun of Summer, fresh
Shone upon his youthful flesh,
Where visible still, places scarred,
Where gnashing cruelty had marred,
Who am I?
I break his heart the blood runs deep
I cry alone lost in my agony
I put on that smile the world is fooled
I know it hurts him because it hurts me too
I Am From Roots Behind Roots
My Roots Came From Roots
And These Roots Lived A Life
We're They Were Lynched , Beaten & Bruised
These Are My Roots . . .
I am a tree
Always growing, rooted deep
Bearing the fruits of the spirit even when my soul is weak
I am a swiss knife
Many features, a thousand uses
But when abused, the outcome is ruthless
The rush you feel as you walk onto that field
The silent chanting coming from the crowds
Counting down the measures until you move
Slowly raising your instrument head 10 degrees above eye level
I am me. I am unique. I am passionate. I am ordinary. I am smart.
The day goes on through my day where I am myself and am happy about it.
I'm just another kid from India
All I wanted was to fit in and be accepted by society
I remember starting first grade with no knowledge of English
Mind full of confusion and heart full of anxiety
