Another son.
Another daughter.
Another neighbor.
Another cousin.
Another mother.
Another father.
Another lover.
Another classmate.
It sounds like heavy rainfall
Water burdened by the iron that colors it
Graffiti sketch its hue splattered backdoor streets
Red and blue lights illuminating the darkness
we are under the comfort
that blooming flowers are bright
that they shine like stars in a glistening night--
that they are good and small, like a beacon of light--
but we can't tell what's a flower
