Here and now I lie in grim nostalgia
reminiscent of time spent with old friends
call them Tragic, now, for their tragic ends
If only I could be with them tonight
To have them back, revel in love now lost
As I sit alone on the brink of death
My mind wanders to a gentler time.
A time when the wind didn't bite
And sun it set- never died.
I remember the first kisses,
the many, many kisses
