where every grade mattered,
where “A” stood for average,
and anything below 100%
was not good enough.
She grew up in a school
Oh, how I long so very much,
For fresh air I cannot clutch.
A break from this madness would be enough,
Everyday, all day there's a rush,
For you must always be impeccably tough.
A day, one day, is all I ask,
