Addiction struggles,
painstaking recovery,
what is left of life?
Sex one click away,
pornography too easy,
heart and soul dying.
A belt to the back,
welts and bruises to cover,
cowering in fear.
No hugs, no praises,
an emotional desert,
thirsting for feelings.
Boys without fathers,
questioning what is a man,
groping in darkness.
