I dug a hole.
It wasn't that deep,
Just a toehole I made when I tripped.
I was on my face, bleeding,
So I pulled away.
Pinwheeling...
"It's an ethical reason,"
Said in a murmur,
A mumble designed to conceal.
Conceal the painful past
Few know of an fewer believe.
It wasn't...
She's silhouetted against a stark nothing.
You can see where the tear rolls down her cheek
And the skin clings to her bones as she bends...
The golden sun kisses the crest of the hill,
As the stalks of corn deflect angelic light.
A ripple spreads through the glistening wheat...
Nip it in the bud
Clip it off sharply and save yourself
From the flow, flow
Clip it, nip it, suck it up as
Up goes the arrow that leads to...
