Poems from k.lloyd96
When I was a kid, I wanted to be
a Disney princess—
beautiful, with big blue eyes
and flowing blonde hair.
I knew that sunshine lightened...
you caught me like a
dream, tangled in the beaded
threads of your feathered
web, your dreamcatcher
holding my spirit in a
cage of...
this is the sound of
your razor-blade betrayal
shredding through my trust.
there is nothing like
the bittersweet sting of your
honey-...
I follow as a poison-tipped arrow would,
tracking the heels of Achilles,
honing in on a weakness you were
powerless to prevent
my path...
The glass spreads
in my sight, shimmering.
It’s so smooth and still
I can see my face. And
so I sit on the banks
of the stagnant world...
