Poems from The Darcy Perspective
No one said that you are going to go through life unscathed. You will be hurt. You are going to hate people and people are going to hate you. You will even hate yourself. But those are not good enough reasons to give up. Someone out there loves you and cares about you and it will never be enough for you to love them back. You can’t just be done because your expectations weren’t met. You don’t deserve what you have, and until you understand that, you will never be happy with what you get.
Where have you come from, my friend?
I'm beginning to fall
Please prove that this is real
Don't doubt that I'm here
I'm staying for awhile...
Isn't it sad
That we don't give a damn
But only on the outside
Watch us closely
We don't slow
Our souls are too heavy now
Aren't we glad...
They tell me that I'm too much
But what am I too much?
They hand out lies like cards
They tell us to move, to travel
But what could be...
If mechanical parts
Had a heart
Maybe I could've believed
In your sense of humanity
But you give me nothing
You hand me
Cards on a silver...
I've been walking on broken cobble streets
Rewinding memories of happiness
And feeing so alone
I miss us
I miss dancing on starlight
I...
