Poems from Sam Steele
I’ve heard it been called ‘Silent Killer’.
It stealthily stalks on its prey,
And once it arrives at its target,
It sits there with nothing...
The COVID lockdown started and a guy called Dave was here
A chap of my acquaintance for many a live-long year
To pass the many empty hours...
I was feeling blue, Oh how I missed you
I longed for you here by my side
Call me a tool or maybe a fool
But my feelings just can’t be...
Sometimes a change is an upgrade
For a better existence we crave
And thus we now live in a warm house
And don’t shiver inside a damp cave...
This time is tinged with sadness
And through tears we say farewell
For a moment steeped with sorrow
In the silence we will dwell
But when...
