Here's the thing.
I began seeing poetry as beauty
Unadulterated, true, and hopeful
It was a lighthouse guiding me home.
But then I started...
"Why waste all your time writing down poetry
Instead of doing schoolwork or things of import?
Don't waste all day with such useless things...
I am an unfinished poem
My words remain unwritten
Like a song with no note, unknown
Like a bird without its wings.
I am the unwritten word...
A mothers words are suppose to be sweet
Ones of wisdom; wholesome, neat
They're suppose to fill my heart with a hopeful song
Then why are...
Go to the grocery store
Be not afraid of love anymore
Give fluffy another bath
Try to forget the past
Wash the car again
Hold it together...
