You're Too Young

You’re too young

You don’t know what pain is

Broken heart? You can’t feel those yet!

You’re too young…

Oh yeah? Wanna bet?

I’ve felt the pain in my chest every time you raised your voice

Every time the whiskey made you crazy, wasn’t that your choice?

When my own blood hurt me

You’re the one who didn’t want to believe

When you said you were there

Every word I spoke you thought was wrong

How is that fair?

When you risked getting in an accident because you took to many hits off that bong

Do you realize it yet?

You’ve been breaking my heart since I could remember

But I love you too much to hate you... My emotions come in a matching set

All those I bet you’d rather forget

I’m your baby girl and you want me to be happy

Yeah? Let’s drinks some more to make her feel crappy…

I know you’re a grown man

But the choices you make I just cannot stand

Why can’t you just trust me and stand by me hand and hand

Sometimes you make me want to find a new place, a new land

Your baby girl is coming undone, her sanity is hanging by a strand

I have been heartbroken, and your words of hurt I want to be forever banned

I’m done speaking now leave me be

So I can have some peace…

Bye, dad...
