Your Purpose

I want to create unrest in you,

As those before created in me.

The kind that sets your soul ablaze

And nags until it's free.

It won't let you sleep without a dream,

Or rest without the glimpse of a beam.

The light will beat on every door,

It will flood the ground beneath you,

And rise up through the floor.

Philosophers always ask "what's the meaning of life?"

My friend, this is far too vast.

No one can answer that question for another,

We are a working body.

Everyone a different purpose,

Than his billion brothers.

Your purpose is to find your meaning,

Use it to light the dark.

And when you reach the end of the pier,

Don't let it hit the water,

Don't let it lose its spark.

Make your love transcend generations,

Teach everyone you meet,

Until your energy pierces through nations,

As if your heart still beats.
