Your Love

Love is sitting in the

middle of a summer field,

unsure of reality

but knowing that

whatever happens next

You will be okay

Love is not being afraid

to drown in a sea

that is your eyes

That is not Your Love.

Your Love should not

be an excuse for all

the scars and bruises you

have poisoned me with.

Your Love should not

be the knife

pushed against my

heart, the tip injecting

Nightmare into my veins

Do not use

Your Love against me

Love is profound

Love is a light in

the darkness to

lead you home to someone

Your Love is the nightshade

infecting my

garden of aster

I do not want

Your Love in My Lungs
