Your Crown is Falling
Dear anxiety,
Odious demons race to my brain,
Like a fatal building caught in flames, swarms of people run, fleeing the building in vain.
I was a canary trapped inside a cage that felt utterly destroyed in a despondent dystopia by you.
I bit my lip, dropping my head down as my hands subtly cover my ignorant face.
‘Are you alright?’ No.
‘You’re acting strange..” Rude.
They say, if you’ve experienced failure, then success is running towards you, the sensation is as soft as a newborn.
And yet failure is a shattered mirror that one can’t bare to look at.
…
Chin up, my crown is falling.
Find the angels within the demons.
Now, I shall uncover my pretty face. Chin up, and smile like the world belongs to myself for the day.
‘Are you alright?’ Yes
‘You’re acting strange…’ Everybody is strange in their own ways.
Without a hero, there’s no villain. Without a villian, there’s no hero.
I am still that canary, but now I fly out of your cage.
I finally see the vast, bright sky that is calling my name.
Goodbye anxiety.
