Your Beautiful With Scoliosis

Location

Comfortable in your own skin

Perfect the way you are

You define your beauty

What happens when this becomes a lie

Doctors list imperfections

When you’re told you need to be fixed

When you’re put in a back brace

You no longer fit in

Different than the rest

You stick out

Your perfections aren’t normal

You’re alone

You have scoliosis

One or more curves in your spine

No one else has it

But that’s a lie

You’re special

But others have it too

Others can help you get through it

You aren’t alone

Be comfortable in your skin

There’s thousands of us

Here for you

Make sure you know

I wrote this poem to let others who have or are struggling with scoliosis there are others who are there to help them know they are still perfect and beautiful the way you are.
