To You, John

Tue, 01/09/2018 - 11:36 -- Adi

Dear John,

You know what you've done.

You are not special, you are not unique, you are not the only one.

Because this is not just for you.

John.

A simple name to describe all the Johns in the world.

All the hurt and the heartache

You broke me down, you cut me open, you got what you wanted.

John.

You said I could always trust you

And you lied through your teeth.

You made it so easy and so difficult at the same time.

It was always so effortless

To be with you.

Until it wasn't.

John.

Every little girl wants a hero, a knight in shining armor

But the poor, the broken few of us

Settle

For you, John.

And you know what you've done.
