You Better Watch Out

They work you hard,

Like a mule with a cart.

They lash your back,

If you're not smart.

And if you are.

You better watch out.

They'll whip you harder, without a doubt.

You can work so hard

harder than most.

But  still there will be no reason to boast.

Because every year it's just a little bit more

A piece of paper, like a thorn.

You better watch out,

Their red marks flyin'

It's not going to end,

with all this crying.

You better watch out

It's not over yet

You want to get into college?

Oh, you  bet.

You better work hard,

You worthless mule,

You better watch out.

If you fail school

No 4.0

No scholarship

No good SAT

You should probably quit

Is character really based on the grade?

Is life really what the aces made?

You better watch out

Because even as the whips fly

That's what society's about

make the grade,

live or die.
