Yellowstone

Habakkuk 3:10 New English Translation (NET Bible)

10 When the mountains see you, they shake.
The torrential downpour sweeps through.
The great deep shouts out;
it lifts its hands high.

Little do we know what’s around the corner

Even on a wooded road one seldom knows what’s hiding

Yellowstone you’re full to the brim with expectation

From one extreme to the other surprises are abiding

We saw you there “Old Faithful” not knowing what to expect

Your family members spread around on land, in woods and pasture

Water boiling hot and plumes of steam everywhere on deck

Even in creeks and swamps are warning about the future

“What you see is what you get”, does not count at all here

“What you know or don’t”, does not count at all

Only awe and wonder in hearts shown everywhere

As lack of understanding fill the spaces in great and small
