Yellow Sun

Just like the sun,

I rise.

Just like her,

I try to shine.

She can radiate her love everywhere.

I stay put.

But, she reminds me I must do the same.

I must explore the world like she does.

I must see the blue waters in every corner of the world.

Because I can, I will.

She stands tall and proud.

I will too. I can too.

The yellow of her soul is merry.

Her soul urges me to be the same.

Her rays paint the path to happiness.

All I must do is follow them.

She looks at me with gentle eyes.

Gentleness lays a feeling of warmth all around me.

The dark skies bring her into a mellow sleep.

I do the same.

We close our eyes, but not forever.

We do it together.

The morning wakes her up.

And she awakes me.
