I gave one away thinking you would stay 

No don’t tell me you don’t wanna stay 

Be the flowers in my backyard then tell me made up stories, make the book seem like they can breathe

Airs too heavy and your lungs are full

Oh look at how pretty these yellow painted Vincent Van Gogh flowers are

No I don’t hold myself accountable for you taking a flower

Why should I?

Oh these old vintage books are weighed with heavy dust and the words are stained with sap from the inside of oak trees with yellow painted meadows covering every page 

Why are you taking my yellow painted flowers?

Please I can’t keep doing this

They are all starting to wilt away , 

Brown, why are they so brown?

I’ll just repaint them yellow

I’m wondering why your leaving when I’m giving you all the flowers I have 

They used to be bright yellow when you were here

And please don’t rip the petals 

They are all that’s left 

It's all that they are meant to be 

I can’t breathe 

Where are my yellow painted flowers?

Oh isn’t this one so pretty and you took it away 

Done worry there are still some left

Maybe two,

My books are looking too old 

The pages are stained in the petals golden glow

And the cover sticky and cold

These are pretty but only to you

Dripping in honey and covered in queen honey bees

And these flowers of mine have been hurt one by one
