A year's time

I would say "I hope in a year's time I was taller
That I'd be smarter and bigger and tougher
That I'd be braver and more stable.
I hoped that I'd get labeled as 'a ladies man'
And that I'd get a lady of my own.
I used to dream of such accomplishments,
and that dream became a reality.
A year back I was scrawny,
No muscle,
All bone
A year past and now I'm buff
All toned
No bone
This past year I've changed.
Some would say for the better
Some would say for the worst
All in all
I'm not the same man I was before.
I'm tougher
More determined
I had no stamina
But that sure changed.
After pushing myself for 3 months
I now run 6 miles non-stop before my morning lunch.
I now work out and I can bench press 165 now.
I'm not the same man I was before.
A year's time has gone by
And I'm not gonna lie
I never thought that I'd be able to find
Such a beautiful girl
With pretty eyes
Curly hair
A nice body,
But enough with that.
I didn't like
No
Love her
For her body
I Love her for her personality
Her innocence
Her smile
Her laugh
Her compassion
Her determination
Her drive.
I never thought I'd ever meet my match
But I'm glad
That in a year's time
We would've dated for
A year and some time.
