I'm still me, but I'm not the same.

My hair is shorter, my spirit bolder.

I say I'm still me and in a way it is true.

          But that doesnt mean,

That it's the "me" that you knew.

You saw me as a woman,

Or perhaps I was just a girl you knew.

What an awful mistake.

I was scared to tell you, but I soon found I had no choice.

I'm happy now in a way you can't imagine.

Comfortable and safe in my skin.

I'm honestly glad I told you.

Your dispointment will never win, but your love will get me through.

I'm now me, but he'll never return to the "me" that you once knew.
