The Year Grove

Tue, 09/15/2015 - 10:29 -- Leaf

The fallen leaves scatter the ground.
The trees stand bare. No shade is found
Around the grove as fall creeps in
As September-Man walks on within.

October-Man continues on.
Walking where his ancestors have gone.
Feeling the veil as it grows thin
As october-Man walks on within.

November-Man sees snowfall start
And hunters shoot to kill the Hart.
His feast arrives and winter begins
As November-Man walks on within.

December-Man walks through the snow
A few days left of Year to go.
He gets to his home where warmth waits him
As December-Man walks on within.

The year is over, the walk is done.
A new one is to be begun
January-Man steps out to begin
His walk through the Year Grove within.
